PUBLIC WOU:S FOR 'IHE CITY OF PALO ALto WHEREAS, under the provisions of Diviaion 2, Paragraph 7, Article 2 of the Labor Code (Section• 1770·1780) a public body awarding a contract or authorizing public work shall determine the general prevailing ~ate of per diem wages in -...ordance with · standards set forth in Section 1773 of said Code for each craft, classification or type of workman needed to execute the contract; and WHEREAS, the City Council has ascertained and considered applicable wage rates established by collective bargaining agree ments within. the locality and in the nearest labor market area, particularly the Santa Clara-San Benito Counties Building and C~nstruction Trades Council wage scales. NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: ~CIION 1· That the Counci.l hereby determines the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the Palo Alto locality for all public works constructed by the City under contract to be those rates set forth in that document entitled "Santa Clara- San Benito CountiE::s Building and Construction Council Wage Scales .. · dated November 22, 196.3, consisting of 20 pages, attached hereto, marked EXHIBIT A and made a part hereof by reference. SECTION 2.
