inviting ~~e13.led propo~als or bids for doing the work
orderdd. 3t.,1C. clerk 1 s s.lso directed to publish twice,
a notice 1r.v1t.1ng ~uch propc•aals, md referring to the
spec1f1cat1on3 posted or on .file, ln the Palo Alto
Daily T1.mea, a •j111ly newspaper published and circulated
in a aid City and hereby designated for that purpose.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by·
a check payablo to the C1 tj• or Palo Alto certified
by a. reapons1 'ble bnnk for an e.mount which shall not
bo less than t~n per eent of the aggregate of the
pl•opos&l, or by s bond for the snid amount and so
payable, signed by the bidder e.nd two sureties, who
shall justify, bofore llnY officer competent tt' adm!.d stor
an oath, i:r1 double the amount 11 and over and above all
statutory ~x~mpt1ons.

Council, on or before 7:30 o'alock p.m., on the 12th day
