of theP.ity of Palo Alto, the following ds.ys a.ro declared
to be holidays on which municipal business may be
suspended, neely: every 31lnday, January 1st,
February 22nd, May 30th, July 4th, the first Monday
in Septem'bor t 8eptember ~th, llovernber 11th, Th.anka~1 ving
Day, December 25th, and $Vury Seturday from 12 o'clock
noon.
That employees 1n departments operated on any
of the above dl!iys may be required to work on a dar
decipated as a. holiday and may, j.n lieu thereof, be
relieved from work on another day, subject to the approval
of the head of the department.
That eech salaried employee who has been
employed. by the City 1'or one year or more shall be
ent1tl•4 to two weeks annual vacation with P•Y•
