undor the Aoqu1siti~n and Improvement Act of l925,ia
widdning CAlifornia Avenue between the State Highway
and the Sout~ern Pacific r1~lt of. wa, trom its present
width of a1xty {60) feet to ninety (90) teet and
intends to continuo said widoning easterly onCal1:fo1"nia
Avenue from Alma Street; and
WHEREAS, an award or contract ha2 bean made for
said improve.ent;
NOW, THEREFORE, this Council hereby determ.inea
that pt:tbl!o 1nterost, oonve.n:tencc snd necessity require
an order from the Railroad Commission. of the State of
California that tbe Southern Pacific Gompany grant an
etHJemont to the City or Palo Alto ninety (90) teet in
width over 1 ts ,right of way and tracks at the crossing

company• s right or way;
That the Mayor of said City and the City Attorney
