\~1EREAS Southern Pacific Company has. pursuant to the
provisions or Section 20 Article II. Section 1 Article III.
and Seotion 8 Article IX, <•f the Charter of the C1 ty of Palo
Alto, filed sn epplicut1on with the Council of the City of
Palo Alto for fl. permit to construct, reconstruct, maintain
and operate a rail~ond track upon and across University Avenue
in the lo~a.tion hereinafter described and moz•e particularly
shown by red 11.nc upon the blueprint map of Southe:c-n Pae1f1e
Compnny'8 Conat Division Drawing No. 23993. Sheet No. 2,
attached to and made a pa:r-t of said application.
NOW THEREFORE. be it
?..ESO!NED. that a permit is hereby granted to said
Southern Pacific Cornpuny. a. corporation, its suocessors and
assigns. to oonatruct, recon.struct, maintain am operate a
railroad track u.pon and across University Avenut: 1.n the loca-
tion more particularly described a9 follows~ to-wit:
