~~REAS, the counoil of the City of Palo Alto did
on the 26th. du.y ot Augu.':'. t, 1929, pass its Resolution or
Intention No& 797 to order the hereinafter deeer1bed
work to be done and 1mproYement to be made in aaid Cit7,
which Resolution of Intention wa.• duly and regularly pub-
liahed aa required by law as appe~&:rs from 1~he aft1dav1t
or E. L. Beach, eie!"k-el•aait'i-eH~,., -a:ati now on 1'1le in
the office of Clerk of said City; and
WHEREAS, Notioe of Pasoage ot said Resolution or
l,nteat1on No. 797, headed NOTICE 01'' IMPROVEMENT was duly
and regularly posted along the line or the said contem-
ple.ted work and improvement, and in front of all the
property liable to be aasossed therefor and on and alcng
each and every open street and highway !n the assessment
diotl·iot described 1n ssid Resolution of Intention 1n the
time. form, manner and number AB required by law after
the passage of said Resolution of In,tention as a.ppears
from the affidavits of R. E. Drew and A. G. James~ who
personally posted the same, and who. upon the completion
of the posting of said notiees, forthwith filed said
affidavit 1n the off1oe of the City Clerk making osth
that he completed the posting of said notice on the
day of ~eptembor, 1929; and
~·rrtEREAS n.o protests or objections have been pre-
sented or file! in the time, form nnd mAnner as raquired
by law, and said City Council hov1ng now acquirud juris-
diction to ord0r the propose~ improvement;
IT IS ItEftEBY RESOLVED, that t."le public interest
and convenience require the work herein described and the
COI.l.ncil of the City of Palo Alto hereby orders the follow-
ing work to be dono and 1mpl~vement to be made in s~1d
