to the City of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, this Council has been informed by the BC•ard of Public Utilities and Tz·ansportation of the City
o!' Los Angeles that the rate for the sale of eas for re-::~nle 1n the.t c 1 tJ' is t.,<:mty-t.':t ve cents ( 25¢) per M cublc
feet, and the Co'Lmc11 has b~en info:c•n:l:d thnt tho r·ate
for sale of r.atur~l ga.s for resale in the City of Long
Beach 1s tw0nty-four cents (~4¢) per £ cubic r~et.
NOW '.lll'::~REFORE, Tr-is Council hereby rospectf1.~lly
asks t.lle Railroad Commission of the State of Cs.liforrlJ.f.t
to inv~stigate the rates for naturCil go.s und~,r the sch•::d-
uJ.es of the Ctty of l.os Angeles and the City of Long
Beach for the purposes of resale, a.ncl that if said rates
are aa stated, then thu City of Palo Alto prays the Rai:-
road Co:run1ss10l1 at this time to fix the same rate for
the sale of nnturnl gna to the City of Palo Alto as pre-
vails in the City of Los Angeles or the City of Pasedcno;
that said Pacific Gas & Elec~ric Company take the steps
necessary without uela.r to furnish natural gas to the
said city, and thnt sa d rate shall go into effect upon
the completion of the necessary adjustments for ~aict nur-
pose and that the Commission by its order fix such time
as may be necessary for the .:omp~ tion of adjustments
for said service.
The e.bove and foregoing Resolution was C.uly
p~ssed at a regu.la.J:• meeting of tha Cj.ty Cotmcil held on
the lOth day of Septerr.ber, 19:~9, by the following vote:
