The Couno1l of the City of Palo Alto do re-
sol•re as fo~.lowa:
That it is tr.e 1nt•t1on of said council to
order tho following street work to be done; to-wit:
'.L'nRt alleys be openaJ. throutl')l Blocks 4€ and
47, College 'rerrs.ce, the land to be taken for which
1a hereinafter described as Parcel No. 1, and that
alleys be opened through Blocks 1 and 2 Weisabsar
Addition, 1n the former town of Mayfield, the lands
to be taken for wrdch is hereinafter particularly
described 1n parcel No. 2.
The lru1ds necessary and convenient to be taken
for said v~rposes are described as follows; to-wit:

And said Council does hereby dete~ine and declare that
ea1d proposed work and improvement is or more tnan
looal or ordinary public benefit, and will affect and
benefit the lands and districts hereinafter described,
and which said dietrict is hereby declared to be tbe
district a.:ft'ected end benefitted by sa.id work and im-
provement; and the.t therefore entire damage a, costa,
s.nd. expenses o!' said work and impr-ovem-ent shall be and
!are hereby made chargeable against and shall be assess-
able upon said lands and district, whioh aistr1ct is·
within the city or Palo Alto, count~ or se~ta Clara,
and tbe exterior boundaries of th6 ~ands affected and

All of the herein proposed work shall be done in
accordarice with plane and sp~cif1cat1ons adopted by the
Board of Public Works for said pt_··pose and re-adopted by
the Council on the 12th day of Au~~st, 192~, and 1n pur-
suance or on Act of the Legislature of the State of
California entitled:

Approved March 6, 1889, as ~~ended to date.
The Palo Alto Daily Times 1s hereby designated as
the newspaper published and circulated 1n said City. in
which the Sllparintendent' s notice of the pas3age of this
Resolut;on shall be published.
The abo•te and foregoi:r1g Resolution '.faa duly passed
on tne 27th day of August, 1929, by the following vote:
