UT!ON OF INTENTION NO.~ 769.: The Council of the City of Palo Alto DC rtESOLVE &3 follows: ~mEREAS, there has btHm filed with the City t.;lerk at 1 p. m. Ju.ly 24, 1929, a protest mad~ by the So\l thern Pacific Company anct the Southern Pacific Railroad Company f.\ga1nst the improvement contemplated by Resolution of Intention No. 769 passed oy the City Council on the 8th day of July, 1929, and being for the improvement of University Avenue between Alma Street and El Camino R~al, and, WliEREAS, said Council by its Resolution of intention did find a necessity tor said improvement, IJ.nd did resolve that 1 t was 1 ts intention to make said improvement, and, WHEREAS, said City Council has considered each and every one of th~ grounds of protest, specify I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII. NOW, THEREF9RE, this council finds that each and all of said grounds of protest as n~~bered above are without morit and do not effdct the jurisdiction of the City Council, or the right of said City (founc11 to carry on said 1mprov~ment under the Street :fmpz•ovement Act of 1911. NOW, THERKFORE. it is hereby ordered that each and every one of said ground.a of protest and objections, to-wit: l, II, III, IV, V, VI, V11, VIII, made by said Southern Pacific Company and Southern Pac'ific Railroad <.:ompany, be, and each of them is, e.r.d all of said protests are hereby denied and overru.led. The above and foregoing resolutitlll was duly passed by the Council of the City of Palo Alto at &n adjourned m&et1r~ hold on the 24th day of July, 1929, by the following vote: AV'C'S Mitls Baugh, ~rtachc,_ Christensen..
