R E S 0 L U T I 0 H S _..,. ________ _ Of' THE BOARD OI<' PUBLIC '1\0RKS AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PA!IJ ALTO DIRECTING A PE.'TITION TO BE F'ILED iiiTH THE RAILROAD COMMISSION OF THE STATE Or· CAJ.IFORNIA Fl)R THE PURPOSE OF l''IXING 'l"HE WHOLESALE RATE OF NATURAL GA.3 TO BE SOil> 'ro SAID CITY: The Board of Public Works of the City of Palo Alto do resolve as follows: THAT WHEREAS, the Railroad Conun1sa1on of the State of California, by ita decision No. 5440 rendered on the 28th day of May, 1918, fixed the wholesale rates for the sale of manufactured artificial gas by the Pacific Oas and Electric Company to the City of Palo Alto; and, WHEREAS, by decision No. 21311 on appl1cat1nn No. 15602, the Railroad Comm1e310n on the application of the Pac1!1c Gas s.nd Electric Company made an order granting to said applicant a certificate of public convenience snd necessity to construct natux•al gas trans- mission lines and system for the pu.rpoae of the sale of natural gas by said utility company: HOW, THERE:F'OHE, 1 t is found that the public convenience and necessity ra~uire that the Pacific Gas and El.,ctric Company sell to the City of Palo AltO natural gas in place of the manu.fe.ctured artificial gas heretofore furnished and sold to snid City by said Company, and for this p-..1rposa, tho Ci-ty Attorney is hereby directed to file a petition with the Railroa.d Co:nrn1ss1cn of the State of California, praying for the establishment of a wholesaltj rate under which the Pacific Gas and Electric Company will furnish, sell and transmit to the C.1.ty of Palo Alto natural gas. under certificate of public convenience and necessity for said purpose granted to it by decision l~o. 21311 of the Railroad Commission. DULY PASSED this 22nd day of July, 1929, by the Board of Public Works of the City of Palo Altoby the following vote: AYl~S: Marx, Hare and Campbell NOES: •~on~.
