OVERRUNING PFCTESTS FOR WIDEN!flG COWPER STREET:
The counadl or tho C1 ty ot Palo Alto DO RESOLVE
aa follows:
THAT ~VHEREAS~ thel'a were filed with the City
Clerk ot the C1tJ of Palo Alto upon th& 8th day of
July, 1929, protests or certain property owners against
the widening of Cowper Street between University
Avenue and Hamilton Avenue, under Resolution or Intention
No. 758; and,
Wb~REAS1 the Street Opening Act of 1889 provides
that 3uoh protesta shall be filed within ton days
from and after the publication of notice ot said work,
and that said time for filing protests 3Xp1red upon
the 5th9day o! July, 1929;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby found that said
protests ·ttere not filed w1 thin. the time provided by
law; and,
~~REAS, said Council by 1ts sald resolutlon found
that the public necess1ry demandad said widening:
NOVw, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that said
protests be and each of them is beraby overruled and
denied.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly
passed by tho council of the City of Palo Alto at a
regular meeting held on July 8th, 1929, by the following
vote:
