APPIDV'ING ASSESSMENT FOR IMPHOVEMENT OF THE WESTERLY
ONE*HALF OF NEWELL ROAD
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the City o! Palo Alto
gave notice of the filing of the auessment made to
cover the sum due for th~ work perfo~~ed under
Resolution of Intention No. 68l for the improvement
of the roadway on the westerly side of No.-.ell Road,
which resolution was passed by the Council on the
13th day of August, 1928. reference to w~b 1a
hereby made !o1• !urthttr particulars; and,
'NHEREAS, the lOth day of June, 1929, at the
Council Chamber at the City Hall, at the hour of
eig!.1.t P •. M., was fixed aa the time and place fof
hearing any objections to the proceedings of the
Superintendent ot Streets in making said aaeessment
for work done and perfo~ed under said Reaolution of
Intention No. 681; and.
WHEREAS, no objections have been made or filed
against said assessment; and,
, . NOW, THEREF'O RE, 1 t 1 s her" by RESOLVED and
determined by the Council of the City of Palo Alto,
that said work has be~n performed according to
contract, in a good and substantial manner; that no
portion or the work for any reason was omitted or
illegally 1nolu.ded in the contract for the same;
t.hat the aasessrnent and diagram m.ade in pursuance of
the pro91sions or the Improvement Aot of 1911 were
correct; wherefore >tlll of the acts ,and determinations
of the Street Superintendent relative to said work
and improvement and the assessment and diagram be and
the same are hereby approved, ratified and confirmed.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was duly adopted by the Council of the City or Palo
Alto, at l!l.n adjourned regular meeting held on the
lOth day of J'une, 1929, by the following vote:
AYES: Bertsche, Cathcart. Christensen, Hobart, Hoge, Johnson, Jordan, Kelly, Tholts, Thomas.Whisler.
NOES: None.
