RELATING W CHECKS AND PAYMENT O'N ACCOUNT OF FIP.E
AT PAI.O ALTO HOSPITAL:
The Council of the City of Palo Alto :00 REs:>LVE
as follows:
THAT WHEREAS, the following checks in payment
for loss and damage on account of fire at the Palo
Alto Hospital have been received from insurance
companies sa ro llowa:
0 ccid.ental Underwriters HFL 84, dated
November 20, 1928, tor the sum of f1291.43; and
American Eagle Fire Insurance Company #4942,
dated November 19, 1928, for the sum of $105.16; and
American Eagle Fire Insurance Company #4939,
dated November 19, 1928, for the sum of $1977.13; and
American Eagle lo'ire Insurance Company t/4938,
dated November 19, 1928, for the sum of ~1845.32;
all of said checks payable to the order of the C:tty of
Palo Alto:
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED tho.t the Mayor of said
City, !<'rank G. Hoge, and thtt City Clerk of sald City,
E. L. B~aoh, be and they are hereby authorized to endorse
said ohecka for payment and to affix the seal of said
City thereto.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Auditor of
said C1 ty bv tmd he is hereby au tborized to pay to
It. w. l'bllmer, the contractor who did said repair work
on the .Palo Alto Hospital, on account of the loss and
damage occasioned by tire, the sum of $5008.73, when
approvtid by J. F. tlyxbee, C:tty Engineer, provided the
said R. w. Follmer produce vouchers shOwing that all
of the labor done and material furnished on said work
has been paid for:
AND IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the City
Auditor is authorized to pay to Leland Stanford Junior
University, out of said insurance moneys receiv~d.
$210.31 awarded to the said University on account of 1ts
loss.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly
passed by the Council of the City ot Palo Alto at a
special meeting held on the 26th day of N<)vember, 1928,
by the following vote:
