AWARD 0 F CO NTRACT -NEWELL ro AD:
WHEREAS, the Council ot the City of Palo Alto
did, 1n open session on the llth day of ~eptember,
1928, publicly open., examine and declare all sealed
proposals or bids for doing the work and improvement
1n said City described 1n Resolution or Intention Mo.
681, of the Council of said City, adopted on the
13th day or August, 19281 which resolution of intention
is hereby expressly referred to r~r a dascr1pt1on of
aa1d work and improvement, and for all particulars
relative to the proc~edings under said resolution of intention:

City CouneiJJ hereby rejects all of aa:ld proposals or
bids except that herein mentioned, and hereby awards
the contract tor dotng said work and making aaid
improvement tc the lowest regular responsible bidder,
to-wit: N. M. BALL, at the prices named.1n sa1d bid
on file 1n the o.ff'1ce of the C1 ty Clerk, a oopy o t
which 1s attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Tho City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
not1co of said award twice in the Daily Palo Alto
Times, a daily newspaper published find circulated in
said City and hereby den1~1ated for that purpose by
said Council.
I hereby certify that tho foregp1ng resolution
waa duly and regularly adopted by the Council of the
~1tr or Palo Alto at a re~la~ meet1ngthereor, held
on the 11th day of september~ 1g2s, by the following
veta:
