Serial bonds shall be issued for unpaid
assessments, in the manner and torm provided by tha
Improvement Act ot 1911 and as stated in the resolu-
tion of intention, reference to which 1s herebr made
tor fUrther particulars.
The City Clerk is inst~cted to post a
not1oe or thia work, together with plana and spec1f1a
cations therefor, conspicuously for tive days 1n all,
on or noar the council chamber door ot said city,
inviting sealed proposals or bids tor doing the work
ordered. The City Clerk is alao directed to publish
twice a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids and
reterring to specifications posted or on f1le , 1n
the Daily Palo Alto Times, a daily newspaper published
and circulated in said City, and ~eroby designated
for that purpose.
All sealed proposals or bids shall be
accompanied by a check payable to the C1 ty of Palo
Alto, certified by a responsible bank, for an amount
which shall not be leas than 10% of the aggregate
of the proposal, or by ~ bond tor said amount and eo
payable, a1gned by th.e bidder and two sureties, who
shall justify before any officer competent to
administer an oath, in double aa1d amount over and above
all st11.tuto•7 exemptionao Said sealed proposals or
bids shall be delivered to the Clerk of the Council
of said City, on or before 8 o'clock p. m& on the
11th day ot September, 1928. said time being not less
than ten days from the time or the first posting and
