THAT WHEREAS, the Counc1.l did, on the 16th
day of January, 1928, pass its Resolution of
Intuntion No. 615 to order tho hereinnft~r described
work rind improvement to be made in said City, whicll
resolution of intention wns du::.y and regularly
'011blished at the time and in the :r.a:nner and form ~s re~1ired by the lmprov~ment Act of 1911, as
appears from the affidavit of Veronica Olof~on,

WHEREAS, notices of the passage of Resolutioc

Improvement Act of 1911, and ns stated 1n the
resoli..:.t1on of intention, reference tu which is
hereby me.d0 for further particulars.
The City Clerk is hereby instructed to
post a notice c1! satd work, together w1 th the
plans and specifications therefor, conspicuously
for five da.~,·s, on or nes.r the Council Chamber door
of the City, inviting sealed. proposals or bio.s for
doing the work ordered. Said Clerk 1s nlso
directed to publish twice, a notice inviting such
proposals or bids, and referring to the specific a-
t ions posted or on file, in the Daily Palo Alto
Times, a daily newspaper published and circulated
in s a.id City and here by O.esignn ted for that purpose.
All seale#roposaJ.s or 'bids shall be
flccomp~nied 'by a check, payable to the City of Palo
Al to, cert1f1cu by a responsible bank, for an
amount which shnll not be lesz than ten per cent
of the ageregs.te cf the proposal, or by a bond
for trie said amount, ond s6 payable, signed by the
bidder and twc sureties, who shall justify before
any officer competent to admtnister an co.th, 1n
double snid nmount, over ond above all sta.tutory
exemptions.
