to order tb• following public street to be

. Tb.at that portion ot BeYada Avenue,
a public street, lying between the no~theaaterly
line of Ramona Str~et and the aouthweaterl7
line ot B17ant Street, and that portion of Nevada
Avenue lying between the Dorthea1terl7 line ot
Alma Street and the 1outhweaterl1 line ot High
Street be closed a.nd vacated aa &\ public street ..
The Street Superintendent shall post
a notice or public work in the manner and to:rm
ae prov1dod by the Street Opening Act hereinafter
referred to, 8.Jld shall also publ1ah a notice of
aaid public work tor a period ot ten days, in
the Palo Alto T1mea, a daily new1paper publ1ahed
and circulated in the City of Palo Alto, and
which th• Council hereby designates as tbe
newspaper in which the Stroet 8u.per1ntendent•e
notice ot the pasaage of this resolution shall
be publ1•hed.
All or the herein proposed work ehall
be done in pursuance to the Aet ot Lef1•lature
ot the State ot Calj.forn1a1 entitled An_,Act
to Pro•ide tor the LSJ1ng Vut, Opening, Axtending,
Widon1ng, Straightening or Closing Up, in Whole
or in Part any Street Square Lane, Alley,

necessary or convenient for that purpose,
