R E S 0 L U T I 0 N N O. 613 --------- ORDERING THE WIDENING 01'' NEWELL ROAD: The Council of the City of Palo Alto DO RESOLVE as follows: THAT, WHEREAS, the Council o! the City of Pe.lo Alto did• on the 28th day of November, 192'7, pass 1 ts Resolution of Intention ~o. 597, declaring its intention to order the following street work to be done, to-wit: That Newell Road be widened ten feet on the westerly side thereof, from Hopkine Avenue to a bend in said Road .• being a d!atance of approximately 1913.11 ft. and 15 feet in width; from thence on to San F'rancisqu1to Creek, a d1ste.nee of app1·ox1mately 1983.26 feet end the necessary land acqu1r~d for this purpose 1n order to widen sa1~ street in accordance with and as shown and delineeted on a map prepared by the City Eng1nee:r of the Ci.ty of Pal.o Alto, and hereinafter more particularly referred to, as follows, to-wit: 4')<"\ _,._) ··:.;~trl~·.·. ··:~:: ,~:; ··;;~: J:1. M., notice , ot wh1c~ bee.ring had been mailed to each of said proteatanta or objeotor•; and, WBIRilS, the Counoil did then and there pama !ta Reaolut1Qn Jo. 812 overruling the protea ta o.t property owner• againat the widening ot Newell Road, r•terenoe to which resolution 1a hero'bJ' made: :NOW, THBREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that said work and improvement be done aa atoreaaid, and aa specifically described in ••id Resolution or Intention Mo. 597, ot this Couno11. F. M. Shaw, H. H. Hare and E. L. Beach are hereby appointed Comm1aa1onera to aaseaa the benettto and damages and to haYe general mupel'Viaion ot said propoaed work and improve- ment, until the completion thereof, in compliance with the law ..
