WHEREAS, on July 21, 1962, the City C ou ncil adopted
Resolu tion No. 5555 e ntitled "El Cami no Annexation 14o. 6" which
resolution set the 27th day of August, 1962 as the time of filing
protests against the an nexatio n of territory desig nated in s aid
Resolu tion as "El Camino An nexation No. 6"; and
WHEREAS, on said date w ritten protests were filed against
said annexation; and
WHEREAS, said pro test hearing has bee n c onti nued from time
to time to November 26, 1962; and
WN+REAS, the City Council has heard and passed upon al].
written protests made against said annexation and has found that
valid protests have been made by public and private ow ners of
mo re than 65% of the value of the territory proposed to be
annexe d;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Cou ncil of the
City of Palo Alto:
1. That it hereby finds an d declare s tha t a majority protest
has been made by public and priv ate proper ty owne rs of half of
the value of terr itor y proposed to be annex ed to the City
designa ted as "El Camino Ann ex ation No. 6."
2. Tha t proceedings for the annexation of said territory ar e
hereby terminated.
