WHEREAS, The Superinte ndent of Public Works (City Engineer)
has filed with the City Clerk his report and assessment fo r weed
abatement..as.provided i nAlbeltar 32 of the Pal o Alto M unicipal.

WHEREAS, a hearing was called for Septemb er 24, 1962, for
hea ring any objections to said report and assessme nt list; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has publishlt and post ed a n otice
of said hea ring, as pr ovided in said chapter; and
WHEREAS, pu rsuant to said notice a p ublic heari ng was held
on September 24, 1962; and
WHEREAS, no written or oral protests or objections against
said assessments for weed abatement were prese nted bef ore or at
the 'time fisted for hearing;,, and the CO%sttcil' having .duiy considered
said report and assessment list;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Coun cil of the City of Palo Alto hereby
resolves, finds an d determines as follows:
1. That said assessment list is in all respects complete
and correct and is hereby confirmed, and that ' since the filing
thereof, no assessments have been paid.
2, •' That for a particu lar description of the lo ts bearing
e respective assessment numbers set fo rth in sa id assessment list
and upon which assessmen ts remain u npaid, severally a nd r espectiv ely,
reference is hereby made to said assessment list in the Office of
the Superintendent of Public Wo rks (City Engineer) afte r confirmatio n
by said Cou ncil.

3; That the u npaid assessments, as sh own on said list and
d etermined by said C ouncil, shall co nstitute a special assessment
against such respecti ve lots or parcels of l and sh own the rein and
shall constitute a lie n ag ainst such property for the amo unt of
such assessments until paid . The Assess or shall e xtend and enter
the amounts of s uch assessments against the respective parc els of
land upon the 1962-1963 tax roll, upon whi ch general municipal
taxes are to be collected, and they shall be payable with: the
first installment of said taxes and the City Ta x Collector (City
Tr easurer) shall include the same on the bills for such ta xes.
Thereafter, su ch amounts shall be collected at the same time and
in the same manner as general city t axes are c ollected and shall
be subject to the ,ta me interest,and penalties and the same pro-
cedure and sale in ca se of delinquency. All laws and ordinances
applicable to the levy, collection and enfo rcement of city ta xes
are hereby made applicable to such special assessm ents .
