Section 2. The Boa rd of S upervis ors of the Co unty of
Santa Clara is hereby request ed to ord er the consolidati on of
d+ SFecial referendum electietweliththe State of Calif orni a
State and County General Election to be * at, n_, ry fiber 6„,

further provi'e tha t within the ter rit ory affected by said
order of co nso lida tion, to wit: the City of Palo Alt o, the
election precinc ts, palling places and voting booths shall in
every case be the same, and there shall be only one (1) set of
electio n officers in each of said precincts and only one (1)
form of ballot shall be used.
Section 3. Said Bo ard of Su pervisors of the C ounty of
Santa Clara is further requeste d to cause to be printed on the
ba llo t to be used at said consolidated special referendum electi on
and State and County Genera l Election , within the City of Pal o Alto,
said City of Palo Alto measure in the form set forth in Section 1
of this Resolutio n, to be fo llowed by the words "For the Resolution"
and "Against the Resolution. "
Section 4. Said Board of Super visors of the County of Sa nta
Clara is hereby further autho rized to can vass the r eturns of said
election with respe ct to the City of Palo Alto r efe rendu m reso lution
and to cer tify such canvass of the votes cast for a nd against said
re fere ndum reso lution to this Coun cil.
Section 5. The Cizy Cler k is hereby authorized and dir ected
