RESOLUTION NO. 3556
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF LUCAS LANE
WHEREAS, the C ouncil of the City. of P alo Alt o did, on the
25th day of June, 1962, pass its Resolution of Intention No . 3525
to abandon Lucas L ane in th e City of Palo Alt o, C ounty of Santa
Clara , State of California, as described on that certain Map
entitled "Proposed Ab andonme nt of Lucas Lane " being D rawing N o.
15167 dated Jun e 26, 1962 and further desc ribed on E xhibit A
attached hereto and made a part he reof by reference, and
WHEREAS, pursuant,: to aaid resolution a public hearing w as
held on July 23, 1962; and
WHEREAS, from all the evidence submitted the City Council o+:
the City of Palo Alto finds that said property as des cribed herein
and in said Resolution 3525 is u nnecessary for present: or p rospecti ve
street purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolve d tha t the Council of the City of
Pa lo Alto does hereby or der that said pro perty as describ ed herein
and in said Resolu tion No . 3525 is hereby a ban doned subject to the
permane nt easements and rights -of -way described in Resolution 3525.
The City Clerk shall ca use a certified copy of this resolutio n
to be recorded in the office of the Cou nty Recorder of Santa Clara
Cou nty, California. Said resolution shall not be recorded u ntil all
costs of aban donment have been paid by Pa lo Alto Tow n a nd Country
Village, Inc.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED: Se ptember 11, 1962, by unanimou s voi e vote.
