A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ANNEX TERRI'roRY
TO PARKING DISTRICT
UNIVBRSI'l'Y AVENUE DISTRICT
OF.F-STREBT PARKING PROJECT 00. 52-13

RESOLVED, by the Couno1l or the City ot Palo Alto, Calitcrnia,
that the public interest, conven1enoe and neceaaity require and it is
the intention of eaid Council to annex the territory included within
the boundaries ot the parking d1atr1ct formed pursuant to Re1clut1on or
Intention No. 2425 adopted by this Council on April 13, 1953 (known as
University Avenue Diatr1ot Ott-Street Parking Project No. 52•14) to the
assessment d1atr1ot formed pursuant to Resolution or Intention No. 2411
adopted Maroh 2, 1953 (known ae the University Avenue Distriot Off~
Street Parking Project No. 52-13). Said territory proposed to be
annexed 1s more particularly described in Exhibit ft A11 hereto attached
and made a pa:r•t hereof by ref erenoe.
NOTICE IS HEREBY G1IVEN that Monday, the 23rd day of July, 1962,
at the hour or 7:30 otc::lock P.M. (California Daylight Saving Time) at
. the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, Cal1forn1a, are hereby
fixed as the time and place when and where eaid Council will consider
and finally determine whether the public interest, convenience and
necessity require the aoquie1t1ons and improvements financed 1n said
Project No. 52-13 as to the property proposed to be annexed, and when
and where all persona interested 1n the annexation ot said territory
to said d1str1ot may be heard.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at said hearing the Council shall
have the power to determine from the evidence presented whether or not
the public interest, convenience an~ necessity require the aoqu1ait1ons
and improvements financed in said P~:-oject No. 52-13 as to the property
proposed to be annexed, and whether or not said territory will be
benefited by being annexed. On annexation the real property in said

d1atr1ot.
The City Clerk shall publish this Resolution at length twioe in
the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper ot general o1roulat1on publi1hed in
said City, and oauae a copy thereot to be poated near the Counoil
chamber door, the first or which publioat1ona and aaid poat1ng ahall
be at least ten (10) days prior to said hearing. Notioe shall aleo be
given by malling copies of this Resolution, postage prepaid, at least
ten (10) days before the date set tor hearing, to all persona owning
real property to be assessed whose namea and addreasea appear on the
last equalized assessment roll for City taxes prior thereto or ae known
to the Clerk.
