THE ABAIWONMENT 01 A T4IN EASEMENT IN THE

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto did, on th e
9th da y of January, 1961, pass its Resolution of Intentio n No . 3332
to vacate the following described easement in the City of Palo Alto,
County of Santa Clar a, State of Californi a:
All of that certain easement 10 f eet 'in width
lying adjacent to and easterly of that c ertain
par cel of lan d described as Parcel B in the Deed
of Dedicatio n from Califor nia Pacifi c Commercial
Corpor ation, a California Corporatio n, to the City
of Palo Alto, dated Dece mber 27, 1957 and rec orded
7abiear, 11, 1958 in Book 4003 of Official Records
at. page 409, Reco rds of Santa Cla ra County, C alifornia,
g'rappe di by eA,1,d:.4eed for the purpose of constr ucting
4110a biatiandeneeNittery fo r the constructio n of
irovemen ta and ru nn ing for the entire l ength of
the Westerly line of that certain 14.994 acre, mor e
or less, tract of land as show n upon a map e ntitled
"Record of Survey, Prope rty of Philco Corporation,
being a portion of Rancho Rincon de San Francisq uit o,
a map of w hich was reco rded August 7, 1958 in Book
96 of Maps at page 19, Records of San ta Clara Cou nty,
California.
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to sa id re solution a public hear in g was held
on Mo nday, Fe bruar y 13, 1961; and
WHEREAS, fro m a ll the evidence submitted the City Council of
the City of Palo Alto fin ds that said easement as de scr ibe d he re in
and in said Reso lution No. 3332 is no lon ger necessa ry for the
purposes for whic h it was acquired an d dedicated;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it re solved tha t the Council of the City of
Palo Alto hereby or der s said pr operty as described herein an d in
said Resolution No. 3332 a bandoned.
The City Cle rk shall cause a c ertifie d co py of this reso lu tion
- 1 -
to be re corded in the office of the County :t ecorder of Santa
Clara County, Califor nia . Said resolution sh all not be rec orded
until all of th e c osts of abandonment have been paid to th e City
by Philco Corpor atio n.
