A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO DECLARING
INTENTION OF COUNCIL TO ABANDON AN EASEMENT
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as
follows:
Se ction 1. It is th e intenti on of th e C ouncil to vacate
the follo wing described easement in the City of Palo Alto, Co unty
of Santa Clara, State of C alifor nia:
All of tha t certain easement, 10 feet in width
lying adjacent to and easterly of that certain
parcel of land described as Parcel B in the D eed
of Dedication fro m Calif ornia Pacific Commercial
Corporatio n, a California Corp oration, to the City
of Palo Alto, dated December 27, 1957 and rec orded
Februar y 11, 1958 in Book 4003 of Official Records
at page 409, Records of Santa Clara . Cou nty, California,
gra nted by said deed for the purpose of c onstructing emba nk-
ments nece ssar y for the co nstruction of improvements a nd
running for the entire length of the Westerly line of
that certain 1.4.994acre, mor e or less, tract of land
as shown u pon a map entitled "Record of Survey, Pr operty
of Philco Cor pora tio n, being a portion of Ranch o Rincon
de San Francisquito, " a map of w hich was recorded
Au gu st 7, 1958 in Boo k 96 of M aps at page 19, R eco rds
of Santa Clar a County, Califor nia .
Section 2. Philco Corpo ration sha ll pay all costs in connecti on
with this va cation pro ceeeing.
Section 3. M on day, the 13th day of Februar y , 1961, at
7:30 p. m. , Co uncil Cha mber s, City Hall, Palo Alto, Califor nia ,
is set for the time and place of hea ring where and when any person
havin g an interest in such proceedin gs may appear an d present
eviden ce either for or against su ch v acation.
Sectio n 4. The Clerk is dire cted to publish a copy of this
resolu tion in the Palo Alto Times twice pr ior to the date of the
hear in g.

Secti on 5. The S uperi ntendent of Streets is directed to
po st notices of e as«ae nt vacation c onspicuo usly along the line
of the part of the easeme nt described in Section 1 at least
10 days before th e h earing, posting no mo re than 300' ap art
and a minimum number of three. Su ch notices shall recite the
passage of this resoluti on and set out the time a nd place of
the hearing.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED: Janu ary 9, 1961 by u nanim ous voice vote of all
members present .
