The Council of the ~ity of Palo Alto do resolve ::is follows:
THAT WHEREAS, there is now existing a grade
crossing at or near the intersection of Palo Alto
Avenue and Alma Street in S9.id city, ove:r the tracks
of the Southern 2a.c1:fic Company; and
WHEP£~s. the time for the maintenance of said
grade crossing will expire on or about June 30, 192b;
an~ WHEP..EAS, the City Council of the City cf Palo
Alto did, on or about the 30th day of ~arch, 1925, pass
a resolution for the purpose of making a study of the
problems involved in the grade crossings over the
right-of-way of the Southern 2aoifio Company in the
City o! Palo Alto, and by said resolution request
that for the purpose of this etudy. the State High-
way Commission of the State of California, the Rail-
road Commieeion of the State of California, the
officials ot the Southern iacif.ic Railroad and the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara,
join with the Board of .Public Works, the City 2lanning
Commission and the oommittee of the City Counoj.J/of
the City of Palo Alt~ to make a study of the problems
i.nvol ved in the present grade c ro sain~s over the
right-of-way of the Southern Pacific ~ompany in aaid
cit7, with a view of making such reoommendatione in
relation to the abolishment of grade crossings as may
be deemed advisable after said study of the problems
involved.

facts, the Council of the City of Palo Alto DO HEP.EBY
lURriu;P. RESOLVE that continuatio~ of the time for
maintenance of the grade crossing at the intersection
o:f .Ps.lo Al to A.venue and Alma s·i;reet over the tracks
of the Southern raoifio Compe11y in the City of .Palo
Alto be extended for a period of four 7ears from
and after June 30, 1926.

duced and passed at a r~gular meeting of the Council
of the City of Palo Al~o held on the 6th day of June,
1925, by the following vote;
