The Oounoil of the w1ty of Pslc1 Alto do
resolve ae follows:
WHEREAS, an election waa duly called and
held as provided by the oharter, b7 Article Ill
of ?art I of the Codified Ordinances ot the City
of l?alo .4.lto providing for aaid election and by
the laws of this State, in the Cit7 of Palo Alto,
on ~onday~ the 11th day of May, 1925; and
WHEF.KAS, it appears to this Cou.ncil that
all m~tters and things have beep.regularly, duly
and legally conducted and had acootding to law,
and the votes duly and regularly eoun·ted bf the
duly appointed election boards end t~e returna
thereof properly filed with the City Clerlt. alld
certified to this Counoil:
NOW, THEREFORE, this Council having oanvaseod
the returns of the election board deolare that the
total num·ber ot votes given for the candidates at
said election are ae follows:

494 votes. That in accordance with Article I!I of
Part I of the Codified Ordinances of the City of
Palo Alto provi4i?\g for general and spevial munio1pal
elections and in acoord~ce with the :result of S!lid
election a.a shown by the returns thereof, tnis Council
does hereby declare that Samuel G. Bonn, A. U. Cathcart,
A. c. Hobart, E. c. Tnoits and l:dargaret B. Thomae are
hereby declared to be elected to the office of councilmen
of the City of .Palo Al to to serve for the term of six
;reara. commencing with the lat day of July, 1925,
and W. H. ~elly is hereby declared to be eleote~ to
the orfice of councilman of said city. to serve for the
term of four years commencing on the lat day of July,1925.

by the Oounoil of the City of ?alo Alto at ita regular
meeting held on the 11th day of .May~ 1925. by the
