WHEREAS, thie Council has received
~ protest against the proposed installation of
stonn water sewer system and the assessment
district created by Resolution o! lntention
::t396. passed by the i.;ounc 11 of the City of
Palo Alto on the 9th day of ~aroh. 1926, wnich
resolution of' intention is referred to for
description of the work and the assessment
district; and
WlIBREAS. the Council of the ~1ty
of .l?alo Alto ne.s had the time set for hearing
aaid protest. snd no one appearing at said
time for and on behalf ot the protests,
referred said matter to Committee Bo. l of
the Council, for i.ts recommende.tione upon the
same: and
WHEREAS, said matter wae continued
to this regular meeting of the Council, on
the 13th day of April. 1925, and whereas, said
protestants have been given due notice of the
hearing on said matter at this regular meeting;
NOW,THE:REEORE, the Council having
considered and neard all and every kin,d of
protest aet forth in said protest of the So11 them
Pacific Company and the Soutnern Pacific Railroad ~ompan7, eigned by E. B. Leavitt. 1eaee Agent,
and said Counoil beir1g dlllY advised in the
premieee, -
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that said protest
of the Southern .Paoif ic Compamy and Southern
Pacific Railroad Company be and the same io
hereby overruled in each and ever7 particular,
and upon ea.ch and every protest or objectjon
contained therein.
The above and foregoing resolution
was duly passed by the Council of the Cit7 ot
?alo Alto on the 13th day bf April. 1926, by
the following vote:
