TO ABANDOl~ CERTAIN OF ITS .FRANCHISES AND
7RACKS IN OD ABOUT THE CITY O~ J!ALO ALTO.
The Council of tha City of Palo Alto
do resolve as follows:
WH.EP.EAS, the Oounc11 of this city is
about to paee a resolution of intention to improve
OniTereity Avenue, now occupied in part by the
tracks of the Peninsular Railway Company; and
WHEREAS, Application #99bl by the
f.eninaular Railway Company to abandon certain
franchises and traoke in the City of ¥alo Alto
ia before the Railroad Commiaaion, but said
matter nae been dropped from the calendar:
NOW, THEREFOP.E~ this Council requests
that Application #9961 be placed on the calendar
of the Railroad Commission of the State o!
California, and aet for hearing at as early a
date as possible, and st the same ti~e and place
a hearing be had for the purpose o! rerouting
the traoks of the Peninsular Railway Company
between the oo1nt of entrance of said tracks to
the grounds of Stanford University and the
Southen1 .l?acifio Railway Station.
The aooTe and foregoing resolution
was duly introduced and paeeed b1 tha Council
of the ~ity of Pe.lo alto, on the 30th day of
!.larch, l 92b, by the following vote:
