The CoUDoil of the City of Palo Alto
do resolve as followe:
THAT WHEREAS. the growth of the City
of Palo Alto and the danger attending grade
oro&sings over the Southern Pacific right-of-way
in th~ City of Palo Alto have become a problem
that should be solved in the near future:
NOW, THEREJ!,OF.Et the City of Palo Al to
hereby recommendo &Dd makes the following request
that the Railroad Commies1on of the State of
Cal1forr.1a, the offiojaJ.e of the Sout.nern .l?aoifio
Railroad. the State Highway Commission and the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara
Join with the :Soard of Pu'blio Worke, the City
Pllanning Corr.mj.saion and e. committee of the City
Council of the City o! Palo Alto to me.Ice a study
of the problems j.nvol ved by the present grade
oroaeinge over the right-of-way of the Southern
¥ao1fio Company in the City of Palo Alto with a
view of making euoh reoomrnendationB in relation
to the abolishing of grade crossings as may be
deemed advisable, after a study of the problems
involved.
The above and foregoing resolution was
duly passed by the Cou11oil of the C 1 ty of .Palo
Alto at an adjourned regular meeting held on
the 3Qth day of March, 1925, by the following
