STREET OPENING ACT 01 1889.
The Council of the City of Palo Alto do
resolve as follows:
That it is the intention of the City
Council to order the following street work to be
done, to-wit;
Tho.t an alley in the eo·athweeterly half
of Blook 30 and the northeasterly half of Block
20 ot tne City of Palo Alto be opened a.nd the
neoeeaery land acquired for this p· ..... rpoee in order
to extend and complete the alloy in eaid blocks.
The lands neoeeaary and convenient to
be taken for said purpose, and wnich th1e Council
intends to take therefor, oons1ete of the follow-
ing described pa.reels of land lying and being in
said southwesterly half of Block 30 and the
northeasterly half of Block 20, to-wit:
COMKF.NC ING at a point on th.e northeaeterl7
i ine of Waverley Street distant t.nereon 110 feet
northwesterly from the point o! intersection of
the northeasterly line of W&Terley Street with
tile nortnweeterl.y .tin~ of Un1Ters1.t;v Avenue;
running thence northeasterly and para!lel with
University ~venue to the southwesterly line of
Kipling Street; thence northwesterly along said
south~eeterl7 line of Kipling Street 20 feet;
thence southweeterl7 and parallel with University
Avenue f2b feet to the northeasterly line of
Waverley Street; thence woutheaeterly along said
northeasterly line of Waverley Street 20 feet to
the point of commencement.
AND, ALSO, commencing at a point on the
northeasterly line or J'l.orenoe Street distwit
thereon 136 feet northwesterly from the point of
intersection of the northweeterly line of
University Avenue and the northeasterly line of
Florence Street: running thence northeasterly
and parallel with University Avenue 225 feet to
the southwesterly line of Waverley Street; thence
northwesterly along said southwesterly line of
Wave.rle1 Street, 20 feet; thence eouthweeterly
and parallel with University Avenue 225 feet
to the northeasterl1 line of llorenoe Street;
thence southeasterly along said northeasterl1

which ma~ was adopted by the Council of the
City of Palo Al to on Je.n·u.ary 12~ l92b, and is
hereby made a part of tnis resolution~
All of the herein proposed work shall be
done in pureuanoe of' an Act of the Legislature
of the State ot California entitled: An Act
to irov1de for the ~aying Out. Opening, Extending,
Widening, Straightening or Closing Up, in Whole
or in Part, any Street, Square, Lane, Alley,
Court or Place within M.unio ipa:L i ties, and the
Condemning and Acquiring any and all Lande and ~roperty Beoeassry or Convenient for that Purpose, n
approved K5roh 6, 1889, and the several acts
amandatory thereof or supplementary thereto, to
the date of the passase of tnie resolution.
The Daily Palo Al to Times, a cla ily news-
paper published and circulated in eaid city, of
general circulation, ie hereby designated as tne
newepap~r in which the Street Superintendent of
said oity shall oauee to be published in the
manner and form required by law, notice ot the
paeaage of this resolution; and the said Street
Superimtendent is hereby directed to cause 1otioe
Of the paesage of this resolution to be posted in
tb.e manner and form required by law, and to cause
a notice similar in substs.noe to be published. in
said newspaper for the period and in the manner
required by law.

The above and foregoing resolution was
introduced and paeeed by the Council of the
City ot ialo Alto, on the 30th day of Marob,
1925, by the following vote:

of the City ot Palo Alto that the aboTe and
foregoing resolution and the improvement described
