RESOLUTION DECLARING WEEDS TO BE A NUISANCE
RESOLVED, by the Co uncii of the City of. Palo Alt o, that
WHEREAS, certain weeds are gr owi ng in the City of Palo Alto
upon the various streets, alleys, sidewalks and upon p rivate
pro pe rty within said municipality, which said weeds bear seeds
of a w ingy or do wny nature, or which may attain such la rge growth
as to become, when dry, a fire m enace, or which are otherwise
noxious and dangerous; and
WHEREAS, sa id weeds constit ute a public nuis an ce;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved th at said w eeds do now
con stitute an d will co ntin ue `o constitute a public nuisa nce, and
it is o rdered that the said public nuisance be abated in the manner
prov ided by Article 32A of Codified Ordinance No. 5 of the City
of Pa lo Alto and tha t said nuisa nce exists u pon all of the streets,
alleys, sidewalks a nd private prope rty within said City, as sh own,
described and delinea ted on the several maps of the properties in
said City which are recorded in the office of the Coun ty Recorder
of the Co unty of Santa Cla ra, r eference in eac h instan ce for the
description of an y particu lar str eet, alley or private property
being hereby made to the sev eral maps aforesaid, and, in the event
of there be in g several subdivision maps on which the same lots are
shown , refer ence is hereby made to the latest subdivisio n ma p.
AND IT IS ORDERED, that Mon da y, the 12th day of December , 1960,
at the hour of 7:30 p.m. of said da y, at the Council Chambers
of the City Coun cil of the City of Palo Alto lo cate d in the City
Hall of said City, be an d the sa me is fixed as the time and plac e
whe n o bje ctio ns to the proposed destru ction or removal of such weeds
shall be heard and given du e consideration.
The Superin ten dent of Public Works is hereby order ed and
dir ected to cause no tice of said he aring to be given in the

time, manner and f orm pro vided in Article 32A of said Codified
Ordinanc e No. 5.
