A RESOLUTION OP PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF ENGINEER'S REPORT
EMBARCADERO ROAD EAST OF BAYSHORE
PROJECT NO. 59-11
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Pal o Alto , Califo rnia, that
WHEREAS, an the 11th day of July, 1960, said Council did adopt its
Resolutio n No. 3236 of Pr eliminary Determination a nd of Intentio n, as
amended, to acquir e an d co nstru ct improvements in said City and did refer
the pro posed acquisition s and improv ements to the City Engineer, he bei ng
the officer havin g cha rge and co ntrol of the acquisiti ons and oonatr uotio n
of public improv ements in and for sa id City of the kind described therein
and bein g a competen t person emplo yed by said City for that purpose, and
did therein direst said City Engin eer to make and file with the City
Cler k of said City a report in wr itin g all as the re in more p artic ularly
descr ibed, un der and pursuant to the Pa lo Alto Improvement Proced ure Code;
WHEREAS, said City Engineer has made an d filed with the City Clerk
of a aid City a repor t in wr iting as called for in said Resolution of Pre-
limin ary Deter mination and of In ten tion and under and pur su ant to said
Code, which re port ha s been presented to the Co uncil for con sidera tion;
WHEREAS, said Cou ncil has duly oonaidered said r eport and each an d
ev ery par t thereof, an d fin ds that each an d every part of said report in
sufficient, and that sa id r eport, no r any par t ther eo f r equires or should
be modified in any respect;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That the plans and specifications for the proposed improv ements
to be made, conta in ed in said report, be, an d they a re hereby, preliminar ily
approved a nd confirmed.
2. That the Engin eer 's e stimate of the item ized and total co sts and
expen ses of sa id acquisition s and im prov ements and of the in ciden tal ex-
penses in conn ection therewith, co ntain ed in sa id report, be, and each
of them are hore by, preliminarily a pproved and confir med.

3. That the diagram anoxiig the assessment district ref er red to
an d described in said Resol ution of Preli mi nary Determin ation and of In-
tention, as amended, and also the bo undaries a nd dime nsi ons of the respect-
iv e subdivisions of land withi n said assessment district as the sa me existed
at the time of the passage of said Resolution of Preliminary Determi nation
and of Inten tio n, as amended, each of which subdi visions h ave bee n gi ven a
separ ate number upon said diagram, as contai ned in said repo rt, be, and
it is hereby, pre liminarily approved and co nfirmed.
4. That the proposed assessment upo n the seve ral subdivisio ns of
lan d in said assessme nt district in proportion to the esti mated benefits
to be r eceived by such subdivision s, r espectively, from said acquisitio ns
and impr ovemen ts, an d of the incidental expenses the reof, as c ontai ned in
said r epor t, be, and they are hereby, pre lim inarily app ro ved a nd confi rmed.
5. That the maps and descriptions of the acquisitions to be made, as
contained in said repor t, be, and the same are hereby, prelimi narily
a ppr oved.
6. That said r epo rt sha ll stan d as the En gineer 's r eport fo r the
purposes of a ll su bsequ en t proceedings had pur su ant to sa id Resolution of
Prelimin ary Determination and of Intention , as amended.

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a fu ll, true and corr ect copy
of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the City Coun cil of the City
of Palo Alto, Ca lifornia, at a regular meeting the reof held on the 25th
day of Ju ly, 1960, by the follo wing vote of the members thereof:
