A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF BONDS BY CITY
BIRCH STREET

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto,
Califor nia, that
WHEREAS, in the opin ion of this Council, a bett er price
for the bonds w ill not be obtained by their btli g offer ed at p ub-
lic sale, and the public interest and economy will be se rved
her eby;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, as foll ows:
1. Tha t the bonds in the a moun t of Nineteen Thousand Th r
Hu ndred Nin eteen and 24/100 Dollars ($19,319.24) issued pu rsuant
to Re solution No.
3247
, a dopted by this Council on July 25,
1960, pursuant to Resolution of In tention No. 3213, adopted
Apr il 25, 1960, be, and they ar e hereby, ordered sold to the City
of Pa lo Alto for the par amount thereof w ith a aar ued inter est to
the date of delivery, said bon ds to bear interest at the ra te of
5% per annum.
2. Tha t said bonds be pr in ted for thwith and upon their
delivery to the City the prin cipa l amoun t of said bon ds be tr an s-
ferre d to the Constr uction .Fund for sa id pr o3eat an d that sa id
bon ds be retained by the City Tr ea surer for the accou nt of sa id
City.
