RESOLUTION NO. 3239
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
PROTESTS IN RELATION TO PROPOSED ACQUISITIONS
AND IMPROVEMENTS, AND DIRECTING NOTICE
ALMA STREET UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC UTILITIES
PROJECT NO. 60-4
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of P al o Alto, C alifornia, that
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No . 9237 of P relimin ary Dete rmina-
tion an d of Inten tion adopted on July 11, 1960, by the Cou ncil of said
City, pu rsuan t to the Palo Alto Improvement P rocedure Code, the City
Engin eer of said City has filed with the City Clerk of this City the
wr itte n report called for under said Code and by eaid Resol utio n of Pre-
liminar y Deter mination and of Intention w hich report h as been presented by
said Cler k to this Coun cil for con sider ation, and this Council has c on-
sider ed and preliminar ily approv ed and co nfir med said report a nd orde red
that the same stand as the report for the purpose of all subsequent
pr oceedin gs ha d pu rsuant to said Resolu tio n of Preliminary Determin ation
an d of In ten tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Monday, the 25th day of July,
1960, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. in the r egu lar • mee ting place of
sa id Cou ncil, City Hall, Pa lo Alto, Ca lifo rnia, be, and the same are here-
by a ppointed and fix ed as the time and place when and where the Coun cil
w ill consider and finally de termine whether the public interest, convenience
and necessity requir e said a cquisitions and improvemen ts and when and wher e
it will consider an d finally a ct upon the Engineer's report under said
Resolu tion of Pre liminary Determination and of In ten tion.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the City Clerk of this City be, an d she
is he reby, directe d to giv e notice of said hear in g by publication twice
in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper published and cir cu lated in said City,
and by conspicuously posting a no tice thereof alon g all the o pen streets
within the assessmen t distr ict at no t mor e tha n three hu ndred feet apar t,
and n ot leas tha n three in all; said posting and first pu blica tion to be
ha d an d completed at least ten days be fore the da te herein set for
hear ing protests.

Improvement" in letters of not less than one-helf inch in height and shall,
in legible cha racters, etate the f act and dat e of the passage of s a.:d
Resolu tion of Prelimi nary Determinatio n and of Inte ntio n, a nd of the
filing of sa id report a nd of the date, h our and place set f or the he aring
of all protests, and briefly describe the acq uisitions a nd improvement s
proposed to be made, a nd refe r to said Resol ution of Preliminary Deter mi na-
tion and of Intention an d report for further pa rticulars.
