A RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OP ENGINEER'S REPORT
ALMA STREET UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC UTILITIES

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, C alifor ni a, that
WHEREAS, on the llth day of July, 1960, said Cou ncil did adopt its
Resolu tion No.__3237 of Preliminary Determi natio n and of Intentio n to
acquire an d con str uct improvements in said City and did refer the pro-
po sed•acqu isitio ns and improvements to the City E ngineer, he being the
officer havin g charge an d con trol of the acquisitio ns and construction of
pub12.c impr oveme nts in an d fo r said City of the kind described the rein
being a competen t person employed by said City for that purpose, and did
therein dire ct said City Engine er to make and file with th e City Clerk o:
said City a repor t in w ritin g a ll as therein more particul arly described,
un der and pursua nt to the Pa lo Alto Municipal Improv ement Proced ure Code.
WHEREAS, said City Engin eer has made a nd filed with the City Cle rk
of said City a report in wr itin g as ca lled for in sa id Resolution of
Preliminary Determ ination and of Inten tion a nd under and pursuant to sa9.,3
Code, which repor t has been pr esented to this Coun cil for co nsideration;
WHEREAS, said Council has duly considered said report and each an d
,every part there of, and finds that each and every par t of said r epor t is
sufficient, an d that said report, nor any part thereof requ ires or shou ld
be mo dified in an y respect;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. Tha t the plans an d specifications for the proposed improvements
to be ma de, con tained in said r eport, be, and they are he reby, preliminar-
ily approved and confirmed.
2. Tha t the Engin eer 's e stimate cf the itemized an d to tal costs an c,
expen se s of sa id acquisitions and improvements an d of the incidenta l ex-
penses in con nection ther ewith, con ta in ed in said report, be, and each
of them are her eby, pr eliminarily appro ve d and con firmed.

3. That the diag ram sh owing the assessment district refer red to and
described in said Resol utio n of P reliminary Dete rmi nation and of Intentio n
an d also the bou ndaries and dimensions of the respecti ve s ubdi visions of
la nd within said assessment district as th e same existed at the time of
the passage of said Resoluti on of Prelimi nary Determi natio n and of I nten-
tion, each of which subdivisions ha ve be en given a separate number upon
said diagr am, as con tained in said rep ort, be, and it is hereby, prelim-
inarily approved a nd con firmed.
4. Tha t the proposed assessments upo n the se veral s ubdi visio ns of
lend in said assessme nt district in propo rtion to the estimated benefits
to be received by such subdivision s, respecti vely, fr om said acquisiti one
and impr ovem ents, an d of the incidental expenses thereof, as co ntained in
said re port, be, and chey ar e hereby, preliminarily appro ved a nd confirmed .
5. Tha t the maps a nd descriptions of the acquisitione to be made,
as con ta in ed in said r eport, be, and the same ar e hereby, prelimi narily
approved.
6. That said report shall sta nd as the Engineer's report for the
purpo se s of all subsequent proceedings had pur sua nt to said Resolution of
Preliminary Deter min ation an d of In tention.
