A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TI ME AND PLACE OF HEARING
PROTESTS IN RELATION TO PROPOSED ACQUISITIONS
AND IMPROVEMENTS, AND DIRECTING NOTICE
FOOTHILLS ANNEXATION NO . 2 SANITARY SEWERS
PROJECT NO. 59-10
RESOLVED, by the Co uncil of the City of Palo Alto, California, that
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3230 of Preliminary Determi natio n
and of Intention a do pted on Ju ne 27, 1960, by th e Council of said City,
pursuan t to the Palo Alto Impr ovement Procedure Code, th e City Engineer
of said City ha s filed w ith the City Clerk of this City the written re-
port called for under sa id Code and by said Resolutio n of P relimi nary
Determination and of Inten tion which r eport has bee n pres ented by said
Clerk to this Council for c onsider ation, and this Council h as considered
an d pr eliminarily apprcved an d confir me d said repor t and orde red that the
same stand as the r eport for the pu rpose of all subse quent proceedings
had pu rsu ant to said Resolu tion of Prelimina ry Determin ation and of
Inten tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, tha t Monday, the 25th day of July,
1960, at the hour of 7:30 o'clo ck P. M. in the re gular meeting place of
said Council, City Hall, Palo Alto, Ca liforn ia, be, a nd the sa me ar e
hereby,appo. nted and fix ed as the time and place when and where the
Co uncil will consider a nd finally determin e whether the public in terest,
convenience an d necessity require said acquisition s a nd impr ovemen ts an d
when and wher e it w ill consider a nd finally act u pon the Enginee r's re port
under said Reso lution of Prelimina ry Determina tion and of Intention.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the City Cler k of this C ity be, and she
it her eby, directed to give notice of sa id hear ing by pu blication twice
in the Pa lo Alto Times, a newspa per published and cir cu lated in aa id City,
and by conspicuou sly posting a notice thereof a long a ll the open str eets
within the assessm en t district at not mo re than thre e hundred fe et apa rt,
a nd n ot less than three in all; said posting an d first publication to be
had and oompleted at lea st te n days befor e the da te herein set for
hearing protests.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that said notices shall be headed "Notice of
Improvement" in letters of n ot less than one-h alf i nch in height a nd shall,
in legible characte rs, state the fact a nd date of the passage of said
Resolu tion of Prelimi nary Determin atio n and of Intention, and of the fil-
ing of said r eport and of the date, hour and place set for the hearing of
a ll pro tests, and br iefly describe the acquisitions and improvements
propo sed to be made, and refer to said Resolution of Prelimina ry Determ-
ination a nd of Inte ntion an d report f or f urther particulars.

Pa lo Alto, California, at a r egu lar meetin g thereof held on the llth day
of July, 1960, by the following vote of the members there of:
