RESOLUTION NO. 3224
A RE SOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION AND OF INTENTION
TO MAKE CHANQE3 .AND MODIFICATIONS
UNIVERSITY AVENUE DISTRICT
OFF-STREET PARHING PROJECT NO. 52-14
RESOLVED, by th e C ouncil of the City of Palo Alto, C alin rni a,
that it does hereby prelimina rily determine th at the p ublic inte r-
est, convenience and necessity requi re, and that it is t he inten-
tion of said Coun cil to make c ertain ch anges and m odificatio ns in
the boun dar ies of the assessment di.etrlct fo rm ed p ursuant to
Resolution No. 2382 of Preliminary Determination, and Resolutio n
No . 2425 of In tention , ado pted by this Co uncil on October 27, 1952,
an d April 13, 1953, respectively, as modified, to wit:
1. Change and modify the boun daries of said district to
in clude pro per ty described as fo llo ws:
All that ce rtain parcel of land situate in the City of
Pa lo Alto, County of Santa Clara , State of California,
described as follows:

BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the south-
easterly line of Univ ersity Av enue with the southwest-
erly line of Webster Str eet an d running thence south-
westerly along the southea sterly line of Un iversity
Avenu e 100 feet; thence at right anglee southeaste rly
and pa rallel with Webster Street 100 fe et; thence at
right angles n or thea ster ly and parallel with University
Avenue 100 feet to the southw esterly lin e of Webster
Stree t; and then ce n or thwesterly a lon g the sou thweste rly
line of Webster Str eet 100 feet to the po int of begin-
ning an d the same being a par t of Lo t 4 in Block 38 of
said City and refere noe being here by ma de for a more
co mplete description of said pre mises to the Ma p of
University Park (now kn own as Palo Alto) recorde d in
the office of the County Recorder of the County of
Sa nta Cla ra, Sta te of California , in Book 'D" of Maps,
page 69.
2. The Su per in tendent of Streets shall modify the map of
said assessmen t district to reflect the above chan ge by filin g an
!amendment the re to.
MONDAY, the 27th da y of Ju ne —, 1960, at the hour
f 7:30 o'clock P.M., Co uncil Chambers, City Hall, Pa lo Alto,
Ca lifornia , ar e hereby fixed as the tim e and place w hen an d whe re
said Council will consider an d finally deter min e whether the public

interest, con venie nce and necessity require such changes, and when
an d where it will co nsid er iaisdlfinally a ct upon the m atte r of
making said changes and m odifications, a nd when and where it will
hear all protests in rel ation the reto .
The City Clerk shall cause a c opy of this Resolutio n to be
published twice in the Palo Alto Times, L n ewsp ap er of gene ral
circula tion publishe d in said City, and c ause a oopy thereof to
be posted near the Council Chamber door, th e first of which pub-
lications and sa id . posting shall be at least ten (10) d ays before
the day set for hearing.
