A RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETER MINATION AND OF
INTENTION TO MAZE ORANGES AND MODIFICATIONS
UNIVERSITY AVENUE DISTRICT
OFF-STREET PARKING PROJECT NO. 52-13
RESOL VED, by the Cou ncil of the City of Palo Alto, Californi a,
that it does hereby prelimi narily dete rmine that the public inte r-
est, convenience and necessity require, and that it is the i nten-
tion of said Coun cil to make ce rtai n changes and modifications in
the boundar ies of the assessment district formed pu rsu ant to
Reso lution No. 2381 of Preliminary Determinatio n, a nd R es ol utio n
No . 2411 of Inten tion, adopted by this Co uncil on October 27, 1952
an d Mar ch 2, 1953, respectively, as modified, to -wit:
1. Chan ge a nd modify the bou ndaries of said district to
inclu de property described as follows:
All that certain parcel of la nd situate in the City of
Palo Alto, County of Sa nta Clara, Sta te of California,
descr ibed as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the northeasterly line of Emerson
Street distant 100 feet northwesterly fr om the nor thweet-
er:ly line of Lytton Avenue, said point also being the
southerly corner of Lot 14 , Block 14, Bo yce an d Westall
Subdivision of Un iv ersity Park, said point also being on
the northwester ly bou ndary of the assessment district
formed pur suant to Resolution No. 2361 of Pre liminary
Determin ation an d Resolution No. 2411 of Inten tion ,
adopted by the Cou ncil of the City of Palo Alto on October
27, 1952, and Ma rch 2, 1953, re spectively, Pr oje ct No.
52-13; thence nor thwesterly, leav in g the bou ndary of said
assessmen t district, along the northeasterly line of
Emer son Street and a long the sou thwesterly lines of Lots
331 , a nd 32 , Blo ck 14, Boyce an d We stall
Subdivision, 75 feet, 'to the westerly corner of said Lot
2 ; thence n orthe asterly along the northwesterly line
o f- said Lot 32 . 112. 5 fee t to the no rthe rly c orner of
sa id Lot 12 , said corn er also being on the boun dary
of said assessmen t distract; thence southeasterly along
the northea ster ly lin es of sa id Lots 3 , 33 , an d
, an d along said boundar y of said dis trict 75 feet
to he easterly corner of said Lot 'i4 ; then ce south-
westerly along the southeasterly line of sa id Lot e
an d along sa id boun dary of said district 112.5 feet to
the poin t of be gin ning.
2. The Superinten den t of Stre ets shall mo dify the map of
said assessmen t district to reflec t the above change by filing an
amendment ther eto.
MONDAY , the► 27th day of JUNE, 1960, at the ho ur of 7:30
o'clock P.M., Co uncil Chambe rs, City Hall, Palo Alto, C alifornia,
ar e hereby fixed as the time and place whe n and wh ere s aid C ou ncil
will consider and fin ally determine whethe r the public inte rest,
con ven ience and necessity req ui re such changes, a nd wh en and where
it will consider and finally act up on the matter of making said
changes and modifications, a nd when a nd whe re it will hea r all pro -
testa in r elation thereto.
The City Clerk shall cause a copy of this Resolution to be
published twice in the Palo Alto Times, a n ewspape r of ge neral
cir culation publishe d in said City, and C ause a copy the reof to
be posted near the Co un cil Cha mber door, the fi rst of whi ch publi-
ca tio ns and said postin g shall be at least ten (10) d ays befo re the
day set for hearin g.
