A RESOLUTION CALLING POR SEALED PROPOSALS
WEST CUAARRLESTON ROAD

RESOLED, by the Co uncil of the City of Palo Alto,
California, that
WHEREAS, the said Cou ncil did, on the 14th day of
December, 1959, ado pt its Resolution 0f Intention N o. 3176, to
order the acquisition and construction of certai n streets and
street improvem en ts in said City, all as more particula rly
described a nd set for th in said Resolution of Intention;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of the City is hereby

Alto `ri:hes, a nevispaper publVitied a ih$°'eireulated in said' 8ity,
a n otice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the co nstruction
of said improvements, and referring to the plans a nd specifica-
tions on file in the office of sa id City Clerk, the first of
which publications shall be at least ten days prior to the time
fix ed for opening bids.
All.proposals or bids sha ll be accompan ied by a cashier's
or certified ehck payable to the order of the City amounting to
ten percent of the bid, or by a bon d in said a mo unt and payable
to said City, signed by the bidder and a corpo ra te surety or by
the bidder a nd two sureties who .sha ll ju stify before any o ffice r
competent to admin ister an oa th, in do uble said amount a nd o ver
an d abov e all sta tutor y exe mptions.,
Said sealed proposals shall be delivered to the City Clerk
on or before 3:00 o'clock P.M. of Wedne sday, the Nth day of
April , 1960,,said tim e being not less tha n ten ,days
from the tim e of the first publication of said notice. Bids w ill
be open ed, examined and dec lared on said day a nd hour by the City

Man ager, to the Council Chamb ers in the City H all, who shall
report to th e Council his findings, which fi ndings shall be
con sidered by said Council at its meeting to be held at s aid
place on Monday, Ap ril 2S, ': , 1960, at 7:30 o'clock
P.M.
