RESOLUTION CONCERNING IMPROVEMENT OF EL CAMINO

The Council of the City of Palo Alt o RESOLVES as f ollows:
Section 1. Th e Stat e of Calif ornia is in the p rocess of
holding hearings on the plans of the Division of Highways for
futur e dev elopment of El Cami no Real (State Highw ay Route 2)
fr om Univer sity Avenue in P alo Alto to the Los Gatos Freeway
in San Jose.
jection 2. After consideration of the alternate plans,
this Council ur ges mo st strongly that th e impro vement of E1
Ca min o Real at all poin ts within the City Limits of Palo Alto
and at all points where El Camino Real borders the City Limits
of Palo Alto to the alternate plan of a 120 foot cr oss-section,
allowing pa rking on both sides of the str eet, be adopted.
