Jonscn, and Wllli~AS, this Counoil had said protes1:e laid before it on the lat dey of December. l92~l. and did at said time, fix the time o.nd place 'for hearing Stiid protest at the couno 11 cha.robe!' in the city ha.11, :!'or ~9cember 8, 1924, a.t the hour of 8 p. m.; and WHEREAS, thie couno11 did, at said time and place proceed to heo.r a.nd di.d hear the eo.iCl protests, ao filed in writing; .NOW, TlIBRE.l!'OP.E, thie Council does hereby find that said protests should be over- ruled, and the same are hereby overruled: a.nd whereas, the council finds that the public interest and convBnience reqilire asid work: IWW, 'I'llER1::.1!10~E, said Council h~reby orders the following work to be done, to-wit: That an alley in Block 13 of the Cit7 of Palo Alto be opened and the necessary land acquired for this purpose in order to open an alley in said. l>lock. B. J. Canine, J. K. Ceoil and D. W9 Brewer are hereby appointed commieeionere to asaoaa benefits and damages and to have general supervision of said proposed work and 1mprovaments until the oQmpletion thereof, in compliance with law.
