do resolve as follows:
'.i:'hat it is the· intention of suid ccv.ncil
to order the following str0~t work to be done,
to-wit:
That an alley in Block 13 of the City
of Palo Alto be opened, and the neceseury land
acquired for this purpose in order to extend
o.nd cor:ipltlte the alley in said block.
The land neceaaa.ry s.nd convenient to
be taken for so.id purpose, and which this council
intends to talce therefor, consists of the
following described parcel of land lying in
said Block 13 of said city, to-wit:
Commencing at a point on the south-
eu.sterly line of Lytton Avenue. which said po:lnt
is one hundred feet aouthweaterly from the point
of intersection of t~e southwesterly line of
Ramona Street with th"l southeasterly line of
Lytton .\.venue; r . .mning thence southeasterly and
parallel with Ramona Street, one hundrod forty
feat: thence easterly, ?.07 feet to a point,

Condemn:i.:ng and .\cquiring any and all Landa and
.Property !~eceesa.ry or Convenient for that

resolution.
~he Daily Palo Alto ~1mee, a daily
newspaper published and circulated in said
city, of general circulation~ is hereb1 desig-
nated as the newspuper in which the Street
Su9erintendent of said cj. ty shall cause .:;, be
published, in the manner and :f'orm required by
law, notice of the passage of this resolution;
and the said Street Superintendent ie hereby
directed to cause notice of the passage of this
resolution to ·oe posted in the manner a.nd form
required b7 law, and to cause a notice simi~ar
in substa110e to be pu'bl iehed in sat d newspaper
for the period and in the manner required by
law.
