follows:
Wheraae, there has been presented to thie
~ouncil a oertain petition in th6 form of a reeolution,
daterl May l. 1924, ai~nod by J&rs. Iouiee Jamea, litre.
~raoe uo~ueen snow ~nd other citizens of this City.
and aakin~ this uounoil to remove the present membors
of the ~rd of Publio ~fety and appoint new members
1n their etead, and
Whereas, the said petition 1a bf.lsed upon
oertain alleRSt1one to the general effeot that tho
said ~oard has aoted improperly in referenoe to
oertain ohar~ee ap:ainat the present Uh1e1 of ~olioe,
alleged tn said petition to have been presented to
said board by a dtlemltion of oitizene on April 2let.

publ1o hearing be h&d. the uounoil requests that
a complete eteno~B~hio record of the testimony
taken therein be kept. typewritten and transmitted
