declares its intention to acquire an easement and right of way in,

domain proceedings, and the City Attorney of the City of Palo Alto
is hereby directed to institute and conduct to conclusion an action
in eminent domain for the acquisition of said easements and rights
of way, to undertake the necessary action to obtain immediate pos-
session thereof and to take such action as is necessary therein.

this resolution by a vote of two-thirds of all the members of the
City Council.

the members of said Council at its meeting held on the 22nd day

Law of 1939 that certain park in the City of Palo Alto„ County of
Santa Clare, State of California, hereinafter described, be and
same hesreby is ordered abandoned:
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 20,
Block 360, Tract Number 282, St.. Francis Terrace,
recorded May 26, 1946, in Book 10 or Maps, at pages
34 and 35, Records of Santa Clara County, Califor-
nia, said corner being a point upon the southerly
line of 8t. Franois'Drive; thence easterly along
said line of St. Francis Drive, on a curve to the
right, the radius of which is 110 feet, through a
central angle of 111'. 13' N7", an arc distance.:of
213.53 feet to the most northerly corner of Lat . 21,
Block 360, Tract Number 2823 theme 8. 38' 15' L,
along the northwesterly line of said Lot 21, a dis-
tance of 109.01 feet; thence N. 45' 15' 45" W.,
along the northasxste.rly line of said Lot 20, a dis-
tance of 158.02 feat to the point of beginning.
Section 4. That the City Manager be and he hereby is author-
ized and directed to sell said land in one block on terms which he
deems most advantageous to the City, subject to the interest, if
any, of the owners of said land at the time said map was filed, or
their successor's in interest, and subject, further, to private ease-
ments of owners, including rights of trustees under deeds of trust,
in all lots in aaid Tract Number 282.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly'
introduced and palmed at a regular meeting of the Council of the
City or Palo Alto on l ay, the lath : day of November , 1956,
