.RESOLU1rION SE'.rTING A PUBLIC HEARING
AT WHICH HRS. VELMA REHORS'l' SHOULD SHOW CAUSE WHY
THE BUILDING A'r 345 HIGH STREET, PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA,,
SHOULD NOT BE DECLARED A PUBLIC NUISAlWE

under the prov1~1ons of the State Housing ActJ to declare the
pn.>perty at 345 Higb ~;tree'', Palo Al to, owned b;y Mrs. Vclii~a
Rehor st, a nu'.l,;,;cmce by ~erv1ng said owner wltb o notice order-
ing the correction or abatement of said nuisance w1thin thirty
(30) doys after date ot notice; and
WHEREAS, the thirty day period set forth 1n said notice
expired or.. May 21, 1955; and
WHEREAS, the City Council des:Lres to set a date i'or a hear-
ing at which su1d owner shall show cause wh:y the building located
on said premises shall not be condemned as a nuisance and said
nuisance be abate~!, as provided ln the State Housing _.ct;
NOW,, THEREJ;i'Or-tE, tbe Council Of the C::.ty of Palo Alto does
resolve ae follows:
1. The hearing 1s hereby called for MondBy, July 25, 1955,
at 7:30 p.rn., at the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Palo Alto,
Gal11'ornia, at which Mrs. Velma Rehorst is ordered to show cause
why tc1e t.>uilding located at 345 High St.l'.'eet, Palo Alto, Cal1forrda,
should not be coi~emned as a nuisance and said nuisance abated, as
prov1dau in the State Housing Act.
2. The Building Inspector of the Clty of Palo Alto is
hereb:,· directed to post a 11 Hotice to .Abate Nuisance" on sa1C.
property ir1 the manner !::rcr;cribe·:t in Sect.ton 17824 of the
Health and S;;fet;;r Code or trlc ;;;tate oi' C•:1J.1fornia, and to file
with the City Clerk h1s affidavit of posting or said notice and
mailing in the ma•mer req1.l.1red by Section 17823 of said C.:Oc.lf'.
