RESOLUTION OP THE ~OUNC!L OF THE CITY OF' PALO ALTO
DECLARING CE.hTAIN TERRITORY KNOWN AS
EL CAMINO REAL ANNEXATION NO. 2 WITHDRAWN
!"~OM THE P.REI40NT FIRE DISTRIC'l'
WHEREAS, the property hereinafter describec!, being thut
territory known as El Camino Heal Annexation No. 2, is a por-
tion of the Fremont Fire District now with1r. the corporate limits
of the City of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions or Section 14540 of the Health
and Safety Code of the State of ca11rorn1a, the City Counc11 may
declare said property withdrDwn from said Ii'remo:.nt Fire District;
NOW, 1rHEREFORE, the Ccunc.11 of' the City of Palo Al to doe::;
resolve ao follONs:
That the following describeJ property in the City of Palo
Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California, be and the
same hcreb:;· :10 withdrawn from the F'remont Fire District:
Beginiling at ·che po111t of intersection of the center
line of Adobe ci~eek with the Northeastarly line of the
S:;:;;i Jose and ..:ian Francisco Road (State Highway) ac said
Northeasterly line is described in the Deed. from J. L.
Thompcon and G:race E. Thompson, bis wif~, to the State
of ca11ror:1ia by Deed dated Octobe1• 28, 1929 and recorded
Junuar•y 4, 1930 in Book 494 of Official Records, page
481, Santa Clara County Records, said point or beginning
being 1n the Cit~· Limits line of the City o.f Palo Alto;
running thence along the present Northeasi;erly line of
said San Jose and San Francisco Road Southeasterly to
th€.. point of interoection thereof' with the Southeasterly
line or that ceI'tain parcel of land conveyed by Mary
Collier Pt11lips,, executrix of the estate of Frank D.
Phillips to James Cesano, et ux, by Deed dated September
1, 1944 and recorded Sectembex· 1, 1944 3.n Book 1214 of
Official Records, page 456, Santa Clara County Recor-Js;
running thence along the Southeasterly line of said par-
cel of land so conveyed to Cesano, Northeasterly to the
most Easterl:l corner thereof; thence runniag along the

tion witb the State Board of Equalization, the Assessor of the
County of Santa Clara and tbe Board of Fire Cortllll1ss1oners of
1;he Fremont Fire District.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularl;,r
introduced and passed by the Council of the City of P~lo Alto
at a regular meeting held on Men.day 1 the 27th day of
1955, by the following vote:
