The Council of the City of .Palo Alto does resolve aa .:rollows:
Section 1. That the public interest and necessj,ty cle111and
the acquisition,, construct1on and oompl·etion, by th' City or Palo
Alto, of the follow1ng municipal improvement, to wit:
Additional hospital fac111tiers, including addi-
tions to the existing Palo Al to Hoap1 tal and a n:Erw
hospital building or buildings, together with furni-
ture, 1'ixturas,, appar~'tus, equipment and all other
works, properties or structures necessary or conven-
1ent for additional hospital facilities of the City
of Palo Alto.
Section 2. That the acquisition, construction and c·>n1ple-
1 t10:.1 of said municipal improvement is necessary and convenient
to carry out the objects, powers and purposes or said City.
§ection 3. That the cost or t.he acquisition, construction
and completion or said municipal improvement is and will be too
great to be paid OJt of the ordinary annual income and revenue
of said City.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and X'egularly
introduced and passed by the Council of the City or Palo Al·to on
Monday, the 14th day of March , 1955, by the following vote:
AYES: Bishop, Byxbee, Cashel_ Corooran, Cummings,, Drysdale,
Huston,, Mitchell, Porter, Rodgers, Ruppenthal, Simpson, Wickett.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Hanley, Marshall.
