RESOLUTION NO. 2590
RESOLUTION OP THE COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
DECLARING A PORTION OP CERTAIN TERRITORY KNOWN AS
EL CAMINO REAL ANNEXATION NO. l WITHDRA'llN PROM
THE BARRON PARK FIRE DISTIUCT
WHEREAS , the proper ty herei nafter described, being a por-
tion of that territory known as El Camino Real Annexation No. 1,
is a portion or thE: Ba:tTOn Park Fire District now within the
corporate limits of the City of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 14540 or the Health
and ~afety Code of the State of California, the City Council may
declare said property withdrawn from said Barron Parle P1re Dis-
tr1ct;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the C1ty of Pal o Alto does
resolve as follows:
That the follow.1.ng described property 1n the City 01' Palo
Alto, county Of Santa Clara, State or Cal1forn1a, be and t he s8llle
hereby 1s withdrawn from the Barron Park Fire D_str1ct:
Beginni ng at a point on the Northeaster ly line of
El Camino Real at the most Southerly corner of the
Bartley Tract, Map !lo. 3, as shown upon a maJ> recorded in Book "0" Of Maps, at page 66, Official Records Of Santa Clara County, California; thence from said point
Northeasterly along the Soutbea~terly l1ne of sald Bartley Tract to the Southwesterly line ~r the Souther n Pacific Railroad Company's right of way; thence South-
easterly al ong said Southern Pwcific Railroad Company's right of way to the Northwesterly line or Char leston
Road; thence Southwesterly along said Northwesterly
line to the Northeasterly line of El Camino Real;
thence Northwesterly along said Nortbeaster ly 11.ne of
El C8mino Real to the point or begi nning •.
That the City Clerk file a certified copy of this resolu-
tion wlth the State Board Of Equali~ation, the Assessor Of the
county of Santa Clara and the .Boal'd of Fire Commiaa1oners Of
the Barron Parle Fire District •

The above and foregoing re&olution was duly and regularly
introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of
the City of Palo Alto on l~nday, th.il ~day of January
1955, by the following vote:
