RESOLUTION NO. 2557
RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING AT WHICH MRS . FLORENCE N. BLACK SHOULD SHOW CAUSE WHY THE BUILDING AT 1103 FOREST AVENUE SHOULL' NOT
BE DECLARED A PUBLIC NUISANCE.
WHEREAS, the City or Palo Al to has commenced proceedings,
under t he provisions of the State Housing Act, tu declare the
property at 110~ Forest Av,nue, Palo Alto, cwned by Mrs . Plor-
cnce N. Black, a nuisance by serving said owner with a notice
orderin& the correction or abatement of said nuisance within
thirty (30) days after date cf notice ; and
'.illlmEAS, the thirty (30) day period set forth in said notice
expired on AuBust 13, 1954; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to set a date for a hear-
ing at which said ow!'ler shall show cause why the building located
on said preniises shall not be condemned as a nuisance and said
nuisance be abated as provided in t he State HousinG Act;
NOW THEREFORE, t he CcJncil or the City of Palo Alto docs

l. The hearine is hereby called for September 13, 1954, at
7:30 p.m., at the Council Chambe rs of the City Hall, Palo Alto,
California, at \fhich Mrs. Florence N. Black i s ordered to show
cause why the buil ding located at 1103 For~st Avenue, Palo ~lto,
California, should not be condemn~d as a nu1sanc~ and said nui-
sancc abated, as provldcd i n th" ~tate Housing Act.
